As this is the last issue of the semester, many of the albums that would have been reviewed for you may not necessarily be arriving at this time. (Hopefully next semester!) But that doesn’t stop the excitement of some really big names coming out with new projects. Kehlani, Miranda Lambert and Future all released albums last Friday “Blue Water Road”, “I NEVER LIKED YOU” and “Palomino”, so check them out. Jack Harlow’s ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You’ project drops May 6, and the rapper just earned his first number-one solo hit with ‘First Class,’ which got one of the biggest streaming debuts this year. . Featuring R&B singer Ella Mai, the album “Heart On My Sleeve” will be released on May 6.

Kendrick Lamar, whose fans have been waiting for a new work for a few years, announced the following on his website:

“Los Angeles, CA (April 18, 2022) – The following statement was released today by oklama through his company pgLang at 11:00 AM PT in Los Angeles. CA: Album: ‘M. Morale & The Big Steppers Release Date: 05/13/2022 All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only.

This will be the latest project from his current label, TDE, which has artists like Sza and 6lack on their roster who are rumored to be releasing new music soon, but no official announcement yet.

Latin artist Becky G’s album “ESQUEMAS” is out May 13. Florence + The Machine’s “Dance Fever” album is also out on May 13. Coachella Headliner Harry Styles is dropping his “Harry’s House” project on May 20. Her single “As it Was” also reached number one on Billboard. Apple Music details the song as “The first taste of Harry Styles’ upcoming third album ‘Harry’s House’ is finally here.” On “As It Was,” a fast-paced, dreamy ballad co-written with Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, the boyband icon turned bona fide rock star laments one of life’s painful dichotomies: the temptation to look back while being forced to move forward. Post Malone’s project “Twelve Carat Toothache” drops June 3. Carrie Underwood’s “Denim and Rhinestones” album is out June 10. Luke Combs’ album was also released that month.

“Truth Hurts” singer Lizzo has announced that her album “Special” will be released on July 15. In the album bio on Apple Music, it says “Lizzo has been working on her new album ‘Special’ for three whole years”, and to use her words: “It’s about time I released it!” It is therefore normal that the first single is called “About Damn Time”. You can listen to it now in Spatial Audio. While you’re here, be sure to check out her exclusive audio message for fans in which the “Good as Hell” phenomenon explains why she took her time with this record, writing nearly 170 songs before whittling it down to the final band. . “These are songs about love,” she says. “Whether it’s love for yourself, love for your family, love for your friends, or love for a significant other, I truly believe that love for yourself and for others is what this world needs to be a better place.” Pre-add the album, listen to “About Damn Time” and hear its message in its entirety – only on Apple Music. Of course, there are many more albums during our break period which also decrease; these are just the notable/anticipated names that will come out over the next month. Enjoy these beautiful works these artists will produce because I know I am.
