DAVID DE GEA has revealed SLIPKNOT is to thank for their hot form this season.
De Gea, 31, is on course to win the Man Utd Player of the Year award in a difficult season for the Red Devils.
The No. 1 should be rewarded with a new contract this summer.
And the Spanish keeper has opened up about the musical influences that put him in the right frame of mind.
He said UEFA.com: “It started when I was a child. I spent my summers in Alicante with my parents.
“There were other boys around, a little older than me, and they were listening to this kind of music, so I was listening too.
“I like heavy metal and rock. It really drives me. I like Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down. I also like Bullet for My Valentine.
“I like a bit of everything, anything you can think of, Sinatra, for example. I also like Spanish music. Honestly, I listen to everything.”

One of the 31-year-old stopper’s best abilities is playing the ball from behind.
And it looks like De Gea’s talent with his feet may have something to do with his eclectic taste for the air.
He added: “Am I a good dancer? Well, I’m not a bad mover considering my size.
“I have a good sense of rhythm. I don’t dance like Michael Jackson, but I’m fine, honestly.
“I’m a good dancer, a really, decent standard.”
The Madrid-born goalkeeper will then have his pre-match playlist when United take on Watford at Old Trafford this Saturday.
