Burnley vs Everton live – how to watch Premier League 21/22 game online

The Burnley vs Everton live stream is a game of huge importance in the Premier League relegation battle. It’s a game neither side can afford to lose, and both will be desperate for the vital three points on offer.

Burnley’s current fate is not really unknown. Sean Dyche’s side are no strangers to a relegation tumble. Granted, even by their standards, it’s been a tough season so far. The side are currently 19th, four points from safety with just three wins to their name, which is the fewest of any Premier League side.

The Clarets’ last defeat came against Manchester City. It’s not an unexpected result, and there’s no shame in losing to the league leaders even at home, but Burnley’s only shot on target in the 90 minutes will be cause for concern.

Burnley are renowned for being a defensively strong team – they have conceded the fewest of any team in the last seven – but they have struggled seriously to find the back of the net this season. Their current tally of 22 goals in 28 games is the lowest in the league and would suggest a return to the Championship after six years in the top flight is a real possibility.

No one expected Everton to be in this position with 10 games remaining in their season. They started surprisingly well under manager Rafa Benitez, but soon fell apart and slipped down the table in alarming fashion. Benitez was sacked in January after a dismissal loss to bottom-of-the-table Norwich, and while new boss Frank Lampard has managed crucial wins over fellow relegation-fighters Leeds and Newcastle, the Toffees are still watching the barrel of their first relegation since 1951.

This spectacular last-minute win over the Magpies was followed by a 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium. Top-flight West Ham have proven tricky opposition for many sides this season, and Everton fans can at least take solace in an improved performance. More worrying was the expulsion of Michael Keane. It was Everton’s third red card in as many PL games, and it could indicate the pressure of an unexpected relegation fight is affecting some members of the squad.

The stats don’t make for a good read either. Since the start of the year, Everton have won just six points, the fewest of any Premier League side. The team also has the worst away record in the league this season, with just one win, three draws and 10 losses on the road. They are currently on a five game losing streak away from home. If Everton are to avoid relegation, they desperately need to end this run at Turf Moor.

The last time these sides met in September it ended in a 3-1 win over Everton, but how will this reverse fixture play out?
